First, I admit, I do not know what I'm doing. Just got a used Breville Oracle and tried grinding with the internal grinder. Used old old beans (from an air tight container) at first to see if things worked. I had to set the upper burr to the coarsest setting and the grinder to the coarsest setting(45). Anything else and maybe a gram of grounds made it to the portafilter. When I look down into the burrs they are filled with grounds.
I've taken the upper and lower burrs out, cleaned all grounds from them, the shute, everywhere. Nothing works. I then switched to some newer medium roast beans, 10 days from the roast date. Even the most coarse setting failed. All the grounds are left in the burr area, except for about 1 gram that makes to the portafilter.
I can take the same beans to my cheap burr grinder and I get an inconsistent grind, but at least I get some grinds.
The lower and upper burr look fine. They are not worn down. The only strange thing is that the impeller that I have is the opposite direction of the one shown in the parts diagram:
https://coffeesnobs.com.au/forum/equ...parts-pictures
for the lower burr complete. Also the lower burr is the opposite direction too.
Breville support directed me to :

But this is what is in the machine now.
I do not know what I'm doing wrong.
I'm up to page seven in this thread, so if the question has already been answered in this thread, I apologise. I have 59 more pages to read.
