My comment was specific to the R60V which is why I quoted just that part of the OP's post.
R Nine one on the other hand is the best real one group pressure profiling machine on the market. Period.
It's the machine you buy when your numbers come in.

I very much doubt you are going to be pressure profiling on a 1 group machine in a retail/commercial environment.
I know it sounds like fun (which it is)
But it’s really not the place to be experimenting/learning with pressure profiling if you don’t know what you’re doing.
As Caffeinator mentioned, 95% of people want a flat white/latte. Would probably stick with the Linea mini for ease or better yet, something with volumetrics.
My 2c.

That’s a pretty strong comment against Rocket, what’s wrong with R nine 1 ? In your opinion what’s better at that price and why?

Don't go there for either of your planned uses. It's the machine Rocket made while they were working out how to build a pressure profiling machine. Love Rocket gear in general, but move away. Far away! In addition, they're special order (so that you don't go there).[*]Rocket R60V - Same price range as Linea Mini, Pressure Profiling, and being able to brew consistently by saving pressure profiles
Low volume retail? They don't care. They want a latte
. Nevertheless, if I saw any domestic machine in a commercial environment, I'd keep walking and go to a cafe with a real, commercial machine.

Rocket (R60V/R91) vs La Marzocco (Linea Mini)
Hi all
Long term lurker, first time poster.
I've ordered a Lagom P64 (October Delivery), and am now looking to upgrade a new machine to compliment the grinder.
Looking forward to hear people's thoughts on my options, or convince me otherwise.
Thanks in advance
KWAN

Background- For the last year, I've been set on my mind for a La Marzocco Linea Mini until someone mentioned it can be quite 'one dimensional', with regards to pre-infusion/pressure profiling.
- The initial reason for a Linea Mini, is that it is a workhorse in a low-volume retail environment, which is a venture I have planned after lockdown in Victoria.
- I am predominantly an espresso drinker (3-4 cups per day) at home, and would want something that could consistently pull shots and steam milk to future-proof myself in a low-volume retail environment.
Thought Process- Heat Exchange machine was ruled out due to not being able to do perform consistently in a retail environment
- Linea Mini was ruled out due to being one dimensional to venture into the rabbit-hole espresso brewing
Options- Rocket R60V - Same price range as Linea Mini, Pressure Profiling, and being able to brew consistently by saving pressure profiles
- Rocket R91 - More expensive (~$3000), Same as R60V, but the ability to save the manual extraction pressure profile
- Others?
