Have we got a price handy? And any word on temp profiles (are they flat or curved?), and the temp at the display, looks like 102C at the boiler (?)how well does that correlate to the temp at the head, have you done any testing yet (I know its very early days but I still have to ask), how much room is there to adjust, 1degreeC increments?

        ...so excited!! ;D

          Hi Ian,

Pricing is yet to be confirmed but I think we have it in the right bracket here.

As for the rest of the questions, I understand that it landed on Wednesday so nothing yet. Hope to have a little more info after a play on Sunday and I plan to have one on the bench soon...

          regards

          Chris

                  Gday Ian,

I finally got a play on the Machine yesterday (once we finally got Jack Hanna to give the other guys a go )...

Initial early impressions after only about 30 minutes on the machine- beautiful and very forgiving. I played with Jacks coffee dosing up and down and got terrific pours. I ran out of time to experiment with temperature.

As for profile, I am unsure yet as I have not seen scace readouts- though ECA have logged it...

Steam is better than the Minore II in my opinion, but then it would want to be! RRP will be $3265 for the vibe pump version and the rotary pump volumetric touchpad version will be $3.7k ish...We are still a little away though as the final Australian configuration is yet to be set....

Is it worth the extra spend? I guess only a buyer could decide. I hope to have one on our bench as soon as ECA can get another one into the country.

                  Chris

Re: VBM Dual Boiler PID Bling

                      The Expobar Minore 2 is $ 2400
However I like the position of the pressure dials and PID on the VBM

These factory specs are FOR THE US MODEL that I found on the net

                      Some factory specs :
                      - Group, valves and pump are the same professional grade as the Vibiemme Domobar Super.
                      - Steam Boiler 1.4L 100mm x 180mm diameter with 3mm thickness for improved temperature stability.
                      - Brew Boiler 1.4L 100mm x 180mm
                      - Commercial Sized 12mm Brew Boiler Tubing.
                      - Gicar PID and electronics. Custom Boiler Temperature display.
                      - US market Heating Elements:
                      -- Steam 1000w, Brew 600w.
These Heating Elements are custom made for Vibiemme to maximize efficiency.

Correct you are KK- these are correct specs. for the US model and ours will be similar. Just keep in mind that the Minore does not have a PID. Nevertheless, its very temp stable- but a different machine.

Re: VBM Dual Boiler PID Bling

Yeah it was great to see that machine in the flesh.... I could see you were sobbing for not getting on the machine earlier Chris It was also great to see the new look Giotto (Im guessing that was the other surprise for Aroma). Also great to put a face to a name Chris.

I think someone from ECA (George?) told me that in testing that they did they found only a 0.4degC temp drop from the start of the shot to the end. Thats pretty good IMO. Seeing the temp of the brew boiler >100 threw me a bit after getting used to the Minore that has the adjusted group head temp (please correct me if Im wrong) rather than the actual boiler temp on the display.

Looking forward to your bench test results Chris.

Its almost that same comparing apples with oranges arguement in regards to the Minore vs VBM-DS-DB. Like Chris said, I think they are different machines. One having a proper PID and the Minore with the fridge temp controller.

Would I swap my Minore for the new VBM DB? - I wouldnt rush at it for the extra bikkies.... Id have to have both I think haha
