Have added an isolation/stop valve after the filter on the machine line which I must have purchased at the time I purchased the Brita system but never bothered fitting. So now there is one before the filter and one each on the machine and drinking water tap lines.......more isolation than in hotel quarantine

If you can, put a tap on the mains side of the water filter. Makes it easier to change them as well as isolating the machine

Thanks RocketM, cool will leave my water system as is at least for the time being. Mal, totally agree with your idea but for me the isolation valve would be awkward regardless of where I put it, I wonder if an electric solenoid could be rigged to open when the machine powers up? If I was a sparky I would have a play, I’m not so I will leave it as is but keep thinking and maybe an alternative will occur to me .... ta guys

You could always ensure that your water isolation valve is located conveniently to make it a simple matter to ensure safety after the last espresso is made for the day...

Hi Mono, I've had my ECM Sync plumbed in for about 2 years now using a Nefa 350kpa PRV and yes the line pressure is always on reads approximately 3.8 bar on the gauge, never had an issue with water leaks, i also run a Brita C150 filter works very well hope this helps.

    ECM Sync plumbed line pressure

Took the “safe” option and went with the ECM Sync. It’s in it’s box in the garage for the time being but I’m getting things ready for when it does make it’s way to the bench. I have the Brita C150 finest as a filter setup and believe that it will be suitable with the SS boilers. It is feeding 350kpa water to the Rocket machine but the ECM manual states 100/200kpa pressure. I’m wondering if there are Snobs out there with their Sync plumbed in an if so what pressure/limiting valve are they using. I’m aware that the Rocket isolates itself from the mains via a solenoid when powered down but the ECM remains open to the water pressure so I’m not sure whether ECM’s recommendation is prevent machine damage or to stop a potential kitchen flood. Thanks heaps

    SM.
