Well for just over a week I have had my new Isomac on my bench. I love the fact is it plumbed in and never run out of water. I found it quite easy to plumb in after I found the correct adaptors at Bunnings. I only have water to the machine and not waste as the waste is on the other side of the kitchen but I managed to install pipe work down the fridge cavity from in the ceiling space.
It is quieter than the Expobar that I had there but that is the difference in pumps. It has a higher steam output due to the boiler size and I love the levers on the steam and hot water. I have had to put the porter filter in the grinder at 90deg to ensure the grinds land in the basket (I have a doser grinder) and this is due to the design of the spouts.
What I would improve is the drip tray needs to be 20 or 30mm deeper (forward) so when flushing the group the water does not splash over the front and on to the bench.
The coffee is good as you would expect from a machine that costs this much.
I have retired the Expobar to work where my team are enjoying that. I even worked out a way to self fill the tank on that machine by using a level sensor and a washing machine solenoid. As the water level goes down it opens the solenoid and refills the tanks to the upper level. Works really well.

Anyway that is about it for now. Happy wife (cause I make her coffee) means happy life for me.

    Regards
    Geoff

Thanks for you responses. I have one on the way hopefully it will land on the doorstep on Monday or Tuesday. Once I have had time to play I will share my experiences with you.

The new Isomac range uses mostly Rocket internals which is great, they just assemble them with less care and don't bother about such trivial things as using stainless steel hardware or boiler fittings that don't start leaking immediately. Isomac's are cheaper than the competitors for a reason.

With a similar budget, the Profitec Pro 600 is a better option.

started a topic Isomac Dual Boiler PID

    Isomac Dual Boiler PID

Good day to all of you. I am considering purchasing the Isomac Duel Boiler PID but as others have said there is not much on the forums about this machine.
I am wondering if anyone here actually has one on their bench and can vouch for the performance. My current machine is an Expobar Minore II which will be moved to work replacing my sunbeam 6910 (which is 12 years old BTW)
I like the rotary pump option and the ability to switch between tank and plumbed if required (current bench placement does not have water yet)
The price is right for my budget and I might even spring for a new grinder.
If you have any comments on this machine (keep it on topic) please let me know.
    Regards
    Geoff
