Buying 2nd hand ECM machines

Spoke with dipacci and they would do 5k with flow control fitted + shipped for that cost. Yeah I really like that too! I will pop into my local and see what price they would do with flow control. I can make back the money for the flow control by selling my bdb

4.5k is a good price for a great machine. The flow control is about $600 I think but can be added later.
i like the gauges at the top, makes it easier to monitor while using the machine.
Have you seen the anthracite version? Looks great

The options are crazy man! I think I'm sold in the syncOriginally posted by Mono View Post
ECM Sync owner here. Not sure if you are aware but the Sync & the Pro 700 are basically the same machine internally. I’ve never seen the 700 in person but am led to believe that besides the obvious visual differences the fit & finish of the ECM branded machines are slightly better. Personally I prefer the look of the Pro 700 but was swayed by the toggles/levers. YMMV, Just my 2 cents
PS. If you are after a DB e61 machine you won’t go wrong with either, other brands I would consider are Rocket, Bezzera, the Lelit Bianca seems like exceptional value and is also well regarded. Too much to choose from ?
I was all for profi originally but when I'd seen fit and finish on the sync + the levers I was definitely a changed man. Now to get one! My local offers it for 4.5k but I threw a post up to see what the CSS sponsors can offer to the table

Yeah, I need to try both for myself. Its basically a lever vs k nob deal here as they offer the same same basically. My local shop has the syncs but I'll check if they do profi also. Currently have the sync for 4.5k, but wondering if I could get flow control chucked in for this pricing, who knows. Might be getting ahead of myself here, but definitrly going to try and pursuade my partner in my purchase hahah. She is a non coffee drinker so it's super hard to justify to herOriginally posted by Mono View Post

Ronin i found out its for a v3. I'm trying to sway my partner into letting me get it! I really am still tossing over it and the profi 700,but I'm unsure if I should look into other machines. I thought about hx, but I don't want the temp instability that most come with ( dual boiler being a bit more accurate)Originally posted by FilthySudo View PostYep. It's a proper authorised ecm and profitec seller. So I might call them and see how I can go about it. I honestly just want to upgrade once, rather than just be buying machines in between each time

Ronin, where did you see it listed? Is it this site or another coffee page? Thanks!

Oh so $400 one off not all the time? The only thing that matters that's plastic is the OPV, which I replaced with a $50 expobar brass one when I did the pump. The steam valve can be disassembled and have a couple of washers flipped to fix the drip. You might have been charged for a whole new valve. They don't have to be expensive.

This is getting it serviced for me not buying it myself. I had opc, group head seal, steam wand drip issue fixed and cost around $400 just gone this year. Yes I should probably just do it myself as it'd be a hell of alot cheaper. What I'm saying is parts on the bdb break seemingly quicker than they would on the high end Italian machines I'd assume, as most parts are plastic and not built as wellOriginally posted by level3ninja View PostYou've got me curious what's costing $400 on a BDB on a regular basis. I've serviced mine myself for the last 5 years and including the pump, brass OPV, brew solenoid, a few group head seals and O rings it's cost less than $300 all up. If you're not going to be servicing the new machine yourself it's not going to get cheaper.
