Are all rotary pumps born equal? I am aware the Procon type pumps in commercial machines are very reliable.

My 2 cents: https://www.casaespresso.com.au/izzo-alex-pid.html
Just noticed that this comes with the Coffee Sensor flow control valve thrown in. Great value IMO!!

The La Pavoni Cellini EVO is certainly worth considering.

There is probably a little bit of a bonus there for a CS member if you want to send us a DM
Cheers

I might be biased but when I was looking a year ago the Bianca was/is the best bang for your buck.

Thanks guys.
I don’t mind the specs and look of the La Pavoni Cellini, the San Remo is a little too unconventional ?

I bought my Wega Mini Nova Classic with rotary pump back in 2016 for a bit over $2400 and plumbed it in. It seemed like a good buy at the time and so it has proven to be. The shame is all the prices have gone up and the current price for the few places with the rotary pump model is over 3k.Originally posted by jztilly View PostHi!
In the few days since I posted it, I’ve been thinking that one thing I’ve always wanted is a machine with a rotary pump and the ability to plumb it in. Rather than looking for something in the lower price bracket with a vibration pump, maybe it’s worth spending the extra to upgrade from our breville dual boiler machine.
im a bit out of the loop when it comes to brands and options so just curious what people would recommend when it comes to the cheapest of the rotary pump machines? I don’t think I have a preference when it comes to HX vs dual boiler but I would love a e61 and lever.
any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!
I would suggest sticking with the plumbed in Rotary pump idea. It is a good one and it might be worth waiting for if you can't afford it at the moment. I had a Bezzera BZ40 before this one and I had that for over 10 years and it was plumbed in as well.
Plumbing it in is absolutely worth it if you have a situation where you can do it. It save so much hassle and with an HX machine I do flush a fair bit of water through it for one reason or another.
I like the Rotary pump. It is nice and sounds great...perception is everything with coffee machines. If you like something then that is as important as the function it carries out and rotary pumps are impressively over designed in a nice way.

Found an even cheaper one;
San Remo Treviso $2530 plumbed & rotary;

From a quick Google search, a La Pavoni Cellini HX machine appears to be the cheapest E61 with a rotary pump for $3,099, this is available from site sponsors. It can be run from a tank or plumbed.

Cheapest rotary pump machine?
Hi!
i posted a topic in the “$1500-$3000” forum about an “affordable” recommended Dual boiler or HX machine.
