a silicone hose comes from each the steam and coffee boiler. These connect to a t-joint which then runs a hose to the trip tray.
The plastic joint has perished and shattered in my less-than-2-year-old machine. I bought a replacement part, but I'm curious whether I can replace it with a brass or steel joint instead. It's a pretty generic component
