.John I get your point - but I also consider warranty is one of those things you can ignore until you need it; an opinion shaped by my experiences as an advocate doing pro-bono work for people who are being shafted.

I think my concern likely becomes more valid when pursuing some of the emergent machines like the Decent or others with far more extensive and expensive electronic components where troubleshooting an error can become much more challenging not just expensive.
