mthomas87 thanks for the heads up on the Inker ischia, looks like it may be a discontinued line? Can't find them on the inker website or any in stock elsewhere. The Ancap cups I have from Antony at Casa Espresso are great though. They fit the Strietman really well. That said, I'd still like to try the Ischia if you know where I would buy them from.

Yeah I think they might be. The guys on the Kafatek forums have been buying boxes of 36 off ebay when they pop up and splitting them and on-selling them. One of them might be OK with shipping some to AUS if you ask. I'll shoot you a message

    Thanks for the mention tompoland.

Our Ancap Ancona cups are similar open mouth design as the Ichia.
They have been used quite extensively by Ona coffee. The wide mouth design opens espresso to a bit more surface area.

mthomas87 hey thanks for the heads up on the Ischia cups. I found a set on ebay USA but the seller was on holiday. I just pounced when he reopened his store. Six cups in their original box. Perfect so thanks again.

And finally fell victim to the lure of these beautiful Italian espresso cups and have two coming my way from Casa Espresso thanks Antony https://www.casaespresso.com.au/palermo-black-rim.html

Dimal speaking of angels... the cups literally just arrived and are not only beautifully decorated with Italian town and countryside scenes they are also so artisticly desiged with scalloped handles and deep sunken cup seats in the saucers. And they will last a lifetime and become a family heirloom. Thanks Antony at @casaespresso Click image for larger version

Very cool. Reminds me of the oldschool Illy cup aesthetics.

mthomas87 the Inka Ishcia arrived so thanks again for the heads up. B

Boxed set of 6 for US$30 from ebay. Thought I'd really scored but the seller would only ship within the USA. So I had to have them shipped to an address I have with iPostal1 who are an intermediatory who then charged me US$150 to ship them here. Ouch. Kind of got in deeper and deeper.

Anyhow, they are here and they are great because of the low profile which is what the Strietman needs. Still love my Italian Ancap (see post above) but the head clearance with the Ishcia makes it easier to see the pour in the shot mirror (saves the back!)

Ouch! The cups look great though. That is some thick ceramic too!

If you have a Strietman then you may be interested in the Sworks funnel adapter for Strietman portafilters.

Place it on top and twist it to lock into place and you can then use your Strietman portafilter on any grinder setup to accept 58mm portafilters. 58mm funnels also fit on top if needed to get closer to your grinder's spout. You can tamp through before removing the adapter.

I pre-ordered the adaptor from sworksdesign.com and he has a few pre-orders (including mine) and needs ten in total before he gets them made.

I ticked the box last night to be notified when they come available but couldn't work out how to pre-order.
    Working...
