did they inspect the machine before telling you this? if not, how did they know what the issue was and that the specific parts would be an additional 2 weeks?

Faisal, how did you end up with this?

Being 8 months old, you are covered by the 24 month warranty.

Nope, don't have a multimeter. Might borrow one from work and try this in case the repair work gets delayed.

BTW, this pic isn't from Linea mini is it? The wires here look soo much better quality than the ones in my machine which are rather thin and cheap looking like they can easily break.

If you have a multimeter and know how to use it safely, you should not see an open circuit across the element. I'd assume 40Ω or so.

Thanks for the tips mate. I did look at these switches on the steam boiler and they seemed fine. Maybe I'll try pressing them again like you said just to be sure.

did you look at the correct reset switch? the one on the left side on the steam boiler? (i believe there are 2) even if they look fine, press them to be sure. Also be sure the power is off before doing any of this
Also whilst there did you check the 2 wires connected to it have not come loose?

Other then that, been under warranty, i wouldnt touch anything else

Nope, not hot at all. The heating element doesn't seem to be switching on and also the pressure gauge for the steam boiler reads

    Linea Mini question

Hi all, let me know if this is the wrong channel for this post. I'm looking for advice or suggestions regarding an issue I've had with my 8 month old LMLM. The steam boiler doest seem to be heating up. Brew boiler works just fine so I am able to brew coffee but can't steam milk. I opened the top panels to check if the reset switch had triggered and it looked fine to me. Contacted La Marzocco already but I dont think anything will happen until atleast Tueaday. Any quick checks or tricks I could try while I wait?
    Thanks.
