  • Bezzera Aria?

    Hi all,

I currently have a Bezzera BZ10 that I'm looking to upgrade, mainly to something with a rotary pump and e-61 group to install a flow control kit.

I came across the Bezzera Aria which seems to be a new machine - does anyone have any feedback on this machine?

One thing that attracted me to this machine is that it seems to be the same package as the BZ10 which is a nice and compact size.

Not cheap for a small HX machine with only a 1.5 boiler $4100- $4300.

Yes, true, still looking at other options around, however the compact size initially caught my eye.

What's your budget? The Nurri GTO has pressure profiling for around the same price, Antony at Casa Espresso could get you one.

Might still be a little while. They're not in production yet. Nurri is concentrating on Leva SA at present.

Budget would be around $4k at this stage.
I haven't come across that machine before, I'll check them out, thanks!

Nurri GTO models are still pre production units at the moment.

We have our first shipment of the Nurri Leva on the water.

GTO will be towards the end of the year

Have you looked at the Izzo Alex? (site sponsor Casa Espresso). Brilliant build and industry leading bang for buck IMHO.

Not sure if they are on the ground yet here in Australia.

Rotary pump is nice but it doesnt have a plump in option which does lessen the benefits of a rotary pump.

In the Izzo compact range we have :
      Vivi PID https://www.casaespresso.com.au/izzo-vivi-pid.html

or our new Vivi DUETTO (dual Boiler) at almost the same price as the Aria
      https://www.casaespresso.com.au/izzo-vivi-duetto.html

Alex PID is slightly larger but has a rotary pump and plumb in option
      https://www.casaespresso.com.au/izzo-alex-pid.html

      Cheers

I am a new owner (matter of weeks) of Izzo alex duetto vi and I'd say I already have regrets with this purchase... brewing randomly cuts off midway... and to my horror this morning, I noticed the stick-on letters glued to the body of the machine, designating brand name, started to come off, leaving gummy residue on surface... why not use heat resistant glue on $5000 machine? Honestly I initially thought those letters were pressed into the metal....

Where I am at moment with this is that I am working with my reseller to get a refund. That's not the experience one should get for a supposedly premium, brand new $5100 coffee machine. There are many issues that i don't wish to detail publicly at the moment, as my focus is to get a refund and move on with my life and do a better job at researching my next coffee machine purchase.

symmetrica Having seen many hundreds of these in service, I can assure you that your experience is not at all typical of this machine which is amongst the very best dual boiler e-61 machines in existence- and I have seen most of them.

If you paid $5100 for it, you paid well above the going price. Did your reseller just pick up a carton and hope for the best or was the machine bench-tested/commissioned prior to collection? This is when minor problems such as yours get addressed and what you pay for when you purchase from a reputable operation. If the reseller was too lazy to test or did the "It's tested at the factory/It's tested by the importer", then you chose poorly.

Might I suggest that you also contact the importer: Site sponsor Casa Espresso. Antony will no doubt be keen to hear more.

Caffeinator cool thanks for sharing your insights. Again, as a sign of goodwill, and also as no doubt the importer is currently following this thread, I am not going to go into the specifics of the full experience at this stage. I trust this will be resolved amicably by all involved.

did you get the aria at the end?
there seem to be different versions around.
i like the 20cm width but some website state 250cm width.
little bit confusing with the different variants of the aria
