Ahhhh I'm completely newbie about espresso machines.I really don't know much about them,so it might be difficult for me to inspect all of those things you mentioned. And I realy don't know what that RCD equipment is.But thanks for the advice, anyway.

The same as any other machine. Check all components for problem free functionality, rust, signs of water leaks, odd/unusual noises, broken parts, signs of poor maintenance, signs of scale build-up, and the presence of all accessories. Take some panels off and have a good look inside.

Also bring along an RCD equipped power strip that you can plug it into to see if it trips while using the machine.

It certainly looks to be a La Cimbali M20.

It likely dates from the 1970's too the 1990's, most likely on the earlier end of that scale. If you open it up there should be a metal tag on/attached to the boiler that will give you additional information about it, possibly even the manufacture date.

Spare parts are available for them from multiple sources with generic parts being available for a number of their components.

Is it too big for home use? That depends on what you have for space and what you consider to be 'too big'. Only you can answer this question for you.

If it is fully functional as it sits then it's certainly worth looking at buying as long as the price is reasonable. If it's not fully functional then it becomes an issue of what's wrong with it and are you willing to do the work necessary to bring it back to life.

Hi Can you tell me if this is La Cimbali M20? Any info about the machine, when it is produced,is it any good to buy it second hand, are spare parts easy to find or interchangeable, and good for home use or is it too big?
