Hi Snobs,
I am luckly enough to pick up an Izzo Myway Two Group and am now in the process of fitting it into its resting place. I am already running a VBM Lollo 1 Group off a flowjet set up so it should be a simple move all be it a very heavy one.
It is built like a tank and although its birth plate says it was born in 2008 I think it sat as a display for a long time before seeing light service in an icecream shop. The small lady wanted something easy and faster so she moved to a 2 group volumetic box with what looks like e61s.
Anyway the machine is very clean and no real signs of use or abuse. I base this off the very clean water coming out of the boiler, very clean groups with stainless ciclips and the fact that the portfilters look hardly used.
Yes i am long winded. Very excited to move to the leva, I have read the 60 page thread. I noticed some talk of pf sneeze, as a matter of caution i did purchase 4 silicone seals from Blue Star Coffee. They say the gaskets measure 64.5x53x5.5 which rings pretty true when I measure with verniers. When looking at the gasket one side has an ever so slight ridge that is proud. I would think this should be the side that faces out. Do you have any idea. Also I assume its just a case of picking out the old and sloting in the new. I did notice that you need to stretch it a little to fit it in. Assume this is normal, shout out if your experience is different.
At 5.5mm thick it I believe it is slightly thinner than what is standard. I am hoping there is enough head room to reach the 6 or quater to 6 position when pf tightly locked. Presently the pfs (all single and double spout plus 2 new bottomless form blue star) sit at about 615. Not sure if the gaskets need changing but just being prepared in case.
Bombarding the brainstrust with a lot. And I know this machine is way way overkill for one persons consumption but I got the machine for a song so could not pass up.
Look forward to hearing from Izzo owners and will post pics once its up and running.
Cheers Mark
