Like Tom said. A 1:3 ratio, you might get more flavours out of a 1:2 ratio. I own a sync and Tom used to own one also. If you have questions just have a look in the topic called ECM Synchronika. You can’t just magically add different flavours to beans already pre roasted, you can change the recipe like brew ratio or change the temperature, but if you want brighter flavours you aim for lighter roasted beans, if you want darker chocolate and cocoa you aim for darker roasts

Congrats on the Synchronika they are outstanding machines.
So as I understand it, you are grinding 20 grams in and getting 60ml out in 27 to 30 seconds.
Whats the roast date your bag of beans?
Which grinder are you using?
Grind finder until you are getting 40 grams out in the same time (you will need to weigh your pour) and see what you think. You'll need to use scales because virtually everyone uses "grams out" versus "mls out" as the benchmark measure.
Certainly have a look at https://youtu.be/xb3IxAr4RCo

Dialing in my new synchronika
Hey all
Picked up a new synchronika and dialing it in, I have got to the 20grm coffee 60 ml out in 27-30 secs,
I am just a little confused on how to brighten the taste, add a little acidity as the taste is balanced but lacking brightness.
Any tips or YouTube clips anyone have followed?
