when extracting a shot its usually ok but 1 out of 10 times it would do the same. sometimes i might put too much coffee or playing with the grind setting etc

so normal operation is you pull the leaver ( yes im aware of pre fusion) , the pressure dial will go to zero and seconds later after the prefusion happens the pressure will build up to 8-9 bar.

well that doesnt happen 90% of the time during backflushing ( and sometimes pulling shots). what happens is the pressure goes to 0 and stays there until i push the leaver down ( yes can wait how many seconds you want) so no its not normal. It should be building up the pressure after prefusion is complete every single time.

    Backflush pressure issue

Please let me know if i have posted this in the wrong post of section.

i'm noticing that when i do a backflush i dont always get the pressure buildup. what could be the issue? i have recorded this as per the youtube video below. any ideas? its hit and miss but its doing more often now. I dont get this issue usually when i pour coffee and unless i have done the grind too fine or something like that . as you can see in the video i did it 3 times and only 1 in the 3 did it build up pressure.
