i got mine from Gaganis Bros here in Adelaide (dont think that helps you much!)
Also, I didnt think the beans were any different, thought it was just a dark roast that was pulverised?
Actually this is a common misconception of a lot of people. If you buy a turkish coffee, quite commonly they are roasted to a much lighter level that you would think. Like 50-55 agtron! Of course there is darker types but most are very light.
This can also be due to the small amount of roasting that occurs while pulverizing the coffee. So much friction puts a bit of heat into the coffee!

very cheap (about $16 from memory) but its not exactly the best. Does a good job though. they also sell turkish coffee with cardamom, bloody brilliant stuff! if you are in Adelaide, theres a place on Prospect Rd called Middle Eastern Treasures thats got some pretty cool stuff, including brass ibriks and rakwehs. not cheap mind you, but really nice stuff.

There is a place in the Uk that do great deals... I have bought a few things from them and i always get good service and ok delivery time... just know what size you want... my favourite is the three cup that is perfect for two cups!
My dad recently bought a rough looking old Ibrik from a garage sale because he wanted to have a go at making some traditional Turkish/Greek style coffee.
(my grandfather was from Tegea in Sparta, and it wasnt that cool to be Greek boy in Orange NSW when he was growing up, but hes getting more and more drawn to it as he gets older, anyhow....)
Anyhow, hes got pretty darn good at it, and although Im still loving my espresso of a morning, Id like to make a afternoon Greek style coffee.
I think part of my dads success has been this old Ibrik which he got at a garage sale. Its copper, with an unusually heavy base (most I have found have been thin) and I wanted some advice on whether its better to have a thick heavy, and if so, can anyone know where I can get one? (since all the ones Ive found have been thin bottomed).
Also, any advice on Greek/Turkish coffee beans would be appreciated also... Ive only ever seen it in ground form?
