      Well with my scientific study, with the sample size of one, I can say; that putting the cold press in the fridge makes little or no difference.

      I didnt think it would, I was giving it 0.1% chance. But you never know!

        Update.

        I have tried the Swiss Gold filter. Much nicer to my palate. More oil. Thicker body. The paper was harsher, kind of dusty. Maybe the cheaper paper filter I was using was the problem.

        The metal filter is a bit of a pain. The fines clog the filter quickly.
        Javaphiles suggestion of not stirring helps. Also not pouring from the top but using the plug hole helps to.

        Yet to try cloth. Might be the answer.
