now if you place a warming plate on the scales to keep the Chemex at the correct temp and move the strain gauges to avoid the heat from effecting them ......
Unfortunately Acog 1.0gm but the plus is up to 5kg so good for the green beans. I have a pocket set of jewellery scales (ebay) for my experimenting etc .01 grams but only weigh a max of 70.00gms.
Enjoy the sock, I found Yeeza how to excellent although after watching Hoffmans You tube link decided to go finer and stretch the whole process out to 3min 30secs, including a 30sec bloom time.
After having a chat with Fraser at Coffee Supreme (not a fan huge fan of paper filters) also James Hoffman reconds they need a litre of hot water at least rinsed through them to kill off the taste. I was wondering if using the Sock on top of the Chemex was a very good combination. This has been my method since I got a couple of socks from Jack at Sorrentina Coffee. Really enjoy this combo, not too many fines through but certainly more good flavours than paper (IMO)
Got a shot here also of the 2 cup ceramic with a swiss gold, getting a bit too much sludge for my liking so I need to adjust the grind, but quite an easy process and nice change too
I got the scales under the chemex to replace my old ones and they came with a temp probe that has proven very useful. I gave it the rolling boil test and it read 99.7 near enough for me
