2 coffees a day for me. One from my Silvia/Mazzer combo, the other from my Aeropress/Kyocera combo. Havent had instant in months thanks to this baby! Will be taking it on my travels soon too so I will get at least one good coffee each day ;D
they are brilliant arent they!, i bought one for a friend, then we decided to get one, then the mother in law......brilliant things, weigh nothing, easy cleaning, great taste, too easy!
Yes the aeropress is a great little device and it has plenty of fans here too. Check out Bean Bay and order up some of Andys fresh roasted beans and put them to the test you wont be disappointed. I have even had some sent to NZ.
Im an espresso lover from way back, however, Ive never been able to sway my wife far enough away from her instant coffee......until now!
She wont go near espressos from my very tired Cimbali (1999)...a capp on a good day (maybe). Ive tried a Bellman, a Mucca stovetop and the standard 20 caffettieras we Italians seem to accumulate from the age of 5 up (in all possible sizes of course).
A couple of months ago, however, I bought an Aeropress and I think Ive got her ! A milk based coffee drinker, my wife is loving the coffees coming out of the thing.
To sound equally as corny as those real comments on the packaging, I gotta agree too, and in the cup, theres no coffee residue like plungers tend to leave.
Fresh is best, I know, but my fav blend has been the Tanzania Mviwambi (I can at least write it).
Go figure....$45, non-European, plastic.....and good!
Im in the market for upgrading my Cimbali and Grinder, but thats another post.
