  • Steam escaping from Atomica

Can someone help me with my Atomica? Steam is escaping from behind the red knob when I am making coffee. Do I need to replace a valve or washer? Is it just something that I am doing wrong?

Sounds like a washer to me.

    Try contacting Sorrentina Coffee.

Hi and welcome, as TG said contact Sorrentina or we have a section dedicated to manual coffee brewers and in particular this one for Atomic Restoring http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1238410912/53#53

Could be a couple of things, you need new seals in the valve or the valve may have come loose a little from the body?

        Hello there,
it may be a matter of replacing the washers in the steam assembly- the older Atomic ones are made of paper and hard to find replacements. However sometimes even replacing them will not help- as there is too much play between the metal valve parts and steam will continue to escape. In this case you may want to replace the entire steam arm assembly. We stock that part if you need it so be sure to send us a message.

        good luck.
