Thanks KK, is there any reason to choose Crown, or would any of the big 100 cup percolators do the job just as well?
I suppose its to do with the features you may want (or not want)

The Brand Crown  Coffee Percolator is what I have seen the relatives use in take away shops

For the numbers that the church is catering for you will probably need a 16 lt model

And will set them back up to $500 for new equipment

I think that most commercial catering equipment shops have them in stock if you want to have a look

    Advice for ~100cup brewing process

    Hi all,

I overheard that my local church is looking for a new percolator, since the old one broke. I thought Id ask you guys for advice, since I know nothing about large-volume brewing.
    • Must do about 100 cups in one shot. Ideally "set and forget", ie. put in the grinds and water, turn on, and come back when its done.
    • The current one has a tap on the bottom for pouring cups straight from the brewed coffee, which seems to be standard
    • Looking around the $300 to $500 range.
    • They have a Bo-ema grinder, but I dont think they know how to use it (Ill work on that!). Eventually Ill get them onto some real beans too (baby steps...)

Im happy to hear about any methods, or problems you may see

    thanks.
Working...
