  • Mypressi Twist in daily use?

    Hi snobs!

Im curious if anybody here is using a Mypressi Twist as their primary espresso machine?

Ive read a few reviews with lots of positive comments about how it can pull shots similar to much more expensive equipment, so I was thinking that for low-volume requirements (2 or 3 per day on weekends) why spend the money on a decent e61 or hx?

How does the Mypressi go with milk-based drinks? Not concerned about the steaming of milk as I have the equipment for this, but is it capable of producing decent double-shots suitable for a strong flat white?

    Thanks!

I use mine daily. Although it has clapped out after only a couple of months, leaking gas and cracked bowl. The Mypressi people are good with service though, they are replacing my unit with new stock in a few weeks. Im hoping it will be the second generation models that have some of the problems fixed.

I have found mine to be very grinder picky. I have a Rocky and set at its finest grind the twist pulls shots in 8-14 seconds and often with spray. I also have a Hario hand grinder which does a better job.

Apart from that the twist produces consistantly good coffee. I drink lattes so those drinking espresso with more refined palettes might be more picky.
