  • Cold drip Vodka Coffee.

    Hi,
my name is Andy and I have a coffee problem.

A friend dropped in last week with a funky bottle of Crystal Head Vodka

Glacial water from Newfoundland, triple filtered through Herkimer diamonds, distilled four times and then packed in a cool skull bottle made by Bruni Glass in Italy.

Sure its a great vodka but what would a true CoffeeSnob do next?

Run it through the cold drip with 110g of Espresso Wow!

    ;D

Huge coffee aroma carried by the alcohol, smooth lingering Wow goodness with the warming bite of vodka.

    This could be dangerous.

          Andy,

Please, please tell me that wasnt what we drank last Friday when I picked my beans up...

I was wired enough from the caffeine hit. That super + cold drip gives a bigger hit than coke (cola of course), it doesnt need to be 90 proof as well.

          But then again...

          Nothing exceeds like excess.

          G.

Same coffee grind and ratio, just vodka instead of water

Its a pretty special drop... and in the fridge at the Snobbery now Feel free to swing by and try a shot the next time you are passing.

That little experiment was so successful I’m wondering if I can do a whole top shelf of fresh coffee infused spirits.

Pernod and Yemen, White rum and Harrar… the list could be endless.

I have to put my hand up for having tried Scotch and Coffee.. I was given some blended scotch (Johnny Walker) and instead of using as directed by my scottish friends (toilet cleaner) I did one glass with about 80g of ground coffee and filled with the scotch. The next weekend, it was dutifully decanted..

Very interesting. It strangely "evaporated" though.... ;D
