    Re: Technivorm Moccamaster

I received one of these as a gift from my brother on the weekend. Have enjoyed very pleasant coffee from the technivorm so far. I am looking forward to enjoying many filter coffees over the next few weekends as I get used to it.

      Re: Technivorm Moccamaster

I live in Perth and am not really a snob but consider myself ummm well upper class.

This is my first post and although this topic is it is old, the opinions expressed here have been part of my research into buying a new drip filter.

Great site and full of tips, thanks everyone.

I took the dishwater making drip filter I bought a week ago back to the store. I got the old out of the bin and it still made better coffee despite leaking over the bench top.

This morning I got up and made coffee in a Technivorm moccamaster KBG741 purchased from an Aussie distributor. I used one of the pre-ground coffees I had bought during the week in my attempt to get a decent cup. I used the same amounts of water and coffee as previous.
It was quick, quiet and the coffee was hot and tasted great!
Cannot wait to get the Breville smart grinder that my children are buying me for Mothers day and then try some Beanbay beans.

I can do cheap wine but life IS too short to drink bad coffee.

Hi Kittykate, I have a Technivorm Moccamaster and Breville smart grinder combo and yes Would agree that it makes a great combo.
Just dial in how mant cups you want to brew and set the grind and your good to go.

        Enjoy!

        Cheers Craig
