  • It's not FAIR!! (pour-over kettle)

I know I sound like a whiny kid, but seriously, why is there no electric gooseneck kettle for the Australian market?

Has anyone found a solution? Have I missed something?

Ideally I'd like an electric gooseneck kettle with variable temp like the bonavita ones... I heard they will come to Australia but I don't think any dates were confirmed. Are we destined to use oil decanters or US appliances on step down transformers

    Cheers
    Matt

Have a look at some of the Asian websites.
Just about all of Asia use 240v/50Hz, so power will not be a problem.

The plugs will be different and will need changing.

Be WARNED however, they will not have Australian SAFETY certification.

Just a thought, but purchase at your own risk!

Site sponsor Bombora Coffee & Water Supplies mention on their website that the BonaVita Variable temp electric kettle is due in February of 2013.

brilliant! I've ordered from them before and they are just great! I think the variable kettle is going to be a big hit. I'm probably going to stick with my hario. I like using it on the gas stove, and it's great if I go camping, but for a really easy elec pour over kettle that is the right temp every time, how can you lose?

What is important..? electric, goose neck, or variable temp ?
I have seen a digital variable temp kettle in HN recently.
