Has anyone tried an able disk with their Bruer instead of the paper filter? I'm thinking I might do a comparison.

How does the Baratza compare to the big Mazzer (is that a Kony, SJ or Robur?) I've got a Kony E but not happy with it for filter...also wondering about getting a Feldgrind or Hausgrind or Lido II/III

    What is your extraction time?

    Hey Everyone,

I'm getting a 7-8 hour extract, and it's coming out a little bitter. What are your thoughts on getting it sweeter. I'm assuming it's the grind, but not sure if I should go finer or coarser.

    Cheers,

It sure is beatable check out the Australian invention Brewover on Kickstarter that is currently running. There is another thread about it if you want to know more. This has the functions of the Bruer but with a large cone for pourovers and a solid valve. Several CS' ers including myself have pledged for it already. Very affordable

hey guys - this is my first comment on the forum (so be nice). I'm thinking of getting a bruer to make some cold brew and would like to get a pretty decent grinder for the job. I'd also like it to do a good espresso grind in case i make the investment to getting an espresso machine. My current preference is a vario doserless. I would appreciate any advice! Cheers

Apparently it's now generally available, picked mine up yesterday.

Does what it says on the box First batch was pretty successful but I need to tweak my grind a bit, the valve is a novel design but a bit twitchy.

At this price point it's pretty much unbeatable.

I got mine to 12 hours over the weekend.

I've been using no ice to make it easier to monitor, at room temp.

Checked the drip rate every few hours and ended up speeding up for the last hour so I could put the finished product in the fridge before going to bed.

Probably could have stretched it to 15 hours.

First time I've ever been able to do that though.
