My trusty CCD has exploded into a multitude of pieces after being dropped on a hard floor. Before replacing with the same I have recently come across information on a Bonavita immersion brewer, which for all intents and purpose looks like a porcelain CCD.
I imagine theoretically the porcelain would have better heat retention than the plastic CCD thus having a more stable temp profile during extraction. My question is does anyone have experience using both and can rate one compared to the other?
