What they said. I find the aeropress tends to overextract and get a bit bitter if the grind is too fine, I let it brew too long or the water is too hot. But its good once you get it right. So experiment and have fun.

Experiment with grinds (they have a good APP with different recipes). Generally though grind corser.
For strength brew a little longer and put less water. Because you don't heat it on the stove it means it's harder to burn.
The App is very helpful.

I understand that the finer the grind the stronger the coffee bit I learned using a stove top moka if you go a little more it begins to burn.... That's not an issue here or is it?Originally posted by mmmcoffee View PostHi and welcome vapero! Aeropress is a great unit you will love! That aeropress looks good and right on the price range but will it improve my coffee from the French press? I do getting my coffeeOriginally posted by Dimal View PostWelcome vapero...
Sounds like the ideal coffee brewer for you might be the AeroPress, some info here... CoffeeSnobs - BeanBay - Other Stuff - Aeropress Coffee Maker
You will need to have a reasonable coffee grinder though (and freshly roasted coffee
), to get the best out of any brewing method and that will set you back a couple of hundred bucks U.S., but once you have one, it will last you a long, long time. Lots of us here on CS love the AeroPress for its simplicity, great end result and simple clean-up afterwards.
Worth a look anyway...

Noob here... Hi and help
Hello all
I'm new here so I'll introduce myself as well
I'm 34 from mexico and love coffee but somehow never really got into the whole aficionado thing, but now I suddenly have the itch and need your help
A little back story
Never really liked dripped coffee
I started with a stove top moka and loved it but those seem to last me a few months boogie I never to replace them, went trough 6 of them at least until I got a French press and that is where I am now but now that my mesh is a bit with out and need to replace I'm thinking of getting an upgrade but I'm clueless.
I want a non electronic Brewer that doesn't hurt the pocket.
I love a strong coffee and don't mind the ritual even if it takes longer to make a cup. No one else in my house like coffee so a small one is a must
ThanksTags: None
