I've added few things: silicone rubber bands around the lower part of the 'groups', to help with handling when hot and to prevent skin contact with the brass of the HC-P, also a small one for the air cylinder. These are the N-wallet and X-wallet replacement bands for the Elephant wallet product. The air cylinder already had one replacement band for the Aergrind grinder installed.

The hand crank model is definitely a different beast and needs a good gripping force of the other (in my case left) hand, so to prevent a sore thumb, I've twisted the pressure gauge so that when turning the spindle it rests against my palm...let's see if this works, not sure if I can strain the gauge in such way...

The HC-P has arrived! I'm making a video but first I wanted to try something else and it worked fine - adding a triple spout to the single-spouted PF, using a bit of clear silicone tube - push-on design

Yeah, sorry, I'm not located in Australia, it is Zakopane, Poland but I'm from Slovakia.
I just wanted to share my experiences with the Portaspresso

yeah, it took some time and slight financial loses to get to a point of satisfaction I started with miss Silvia and Mignon, then added meCofee PID but sold it after getting the Rossa
one of my various jobs is also a barista position so I have some insight into the industry too

    Welcome to Coffee Snobs.
A great first post that shows the excellent shots that can be produced by the Rossa PG Air. You have a nice combination of gear that works well together.

    Good thread!
I've got the Rossa PG Air, which I sourced second hand, it is one of the older ones with the pressure gauge using a 1/4" NPT thread. I've installed a silicone group head gasket.
I use the B66 IMS baskets (single, double and triple), first I tamped with the 54,4 mm IMS tamper base, currently with a custom made 54,8 mm tamper. For charging of the air cylinder I'm now using the Lezyne shock digital floor pump, very convenient. I had to replace its smelly grease with Molycote 111
I live at 950 meters asl meaning that water boils at 98 degrees Celsius max, I preheat with tap water boiling in a conventional kettle and for extraction I use filtered water from the Bonavita digital kettle (BWT mg+ filter). For milk frothing I've got the Bellman stovetop steamer with custom single hole tip.
    The coffee is excellent.

    I've made few videos https://youtu.be/8XeldHxw9oI

I'm expecting delivery of the HC-P which I sourced second hand too, just this Friday looking forward to the process

Nice find! I don't think it would fit the IMS basket I'm using .

I found this awesome MOTTA 53mm tamper ( amazon.com little over $20 USD )for my Rossa PG ! the tamper Ross sends works great ( wished was a little taller for grip) for the basket that comes with unit but I have a now defunct MyPressi that had a pretty nice ridgless basket that fits and works nice but the inside diamerter is more liek 53 and the Rossa is more like 54 or 53.5 ... anyway this is an awesome alternative and is taller and fits great in hand when holding the tiny basket ring when tamping... and was pretty inexpensive and as nice as any of my other $100 tampers ! IMHO

Make sure you marry it up with a really good grinder in order to get the best out of your new gear
    Good luck
Try this. It is a 67mm diamater 1mm thick silicon sheet with holes drilled. It prevents coffee going into the bore and into the gauge. Works flawlessly.

Edit: I just recalled that you saw the discussuion regarding this screen on Home-Barista already, but maybe some others see this the first time.

well.. Im much better at latte art but that was just a quick 6am morning shot and decided at last minute to add milk to test it.. behind me is a commercial espresso machine that has a hot water tap and a steam arm lol i have wondered though if one could have an adapter to the PG pressure chamber that would push out compressed air into a custom wand where the pump adapter goes... then u could heat milk while screwing on the little wand and foam up the milk... usually i find after the shot the chamber is already very hot so maybe it wouldn't cool hot milk too fast... of course a little battery whipper I guess could foam it but it doesn't make microfoam...
