Whete the verdict on the nanospresso? I’m considering getting one for travel etc.

any thoughts of nano v minispreso?

I'm keen to get one to try. Will probably also get the Barrista kit to produce bigger shots.

I'm very keen to get one of these. Definitely getting the nespresso pod adapter. What I'd like to know is, with the barista extension, will the nespresso pods be over extracted?

Hey guys where can I pick up the nanopresso, the ns capsule adaptor and the barista kit? I did up the cost from the wacaco website. $170aud or so. Seems a bit steep for what it is.

          Anyone found it cheaper elsewhere?

            Wacaco Nanopresso

Site sponsor Coffee Parts has them. You can throw yourself to the wolves on evil bay where you can be warned about fakes, especially by one vendor whose price is so "to good to be true" that it can be reasonably deduced that they are in fact selling fakes!

Thanks mate I'll check them out. Nar check evilbay... Similar price for nanopresso but no adaptors for kits.

Edit * checked their site. Slightly more expensive. Only have the adaptor and nanopresso on their site. Not barista kit unfortunately

I ordered mine from Alternative Brewing. $90 I think + post. They don't have the Barrista kit available at the moment

i don't think it should be over extracted, because you can control the extraction through the grind size. Also stop pumping if the shot starts to blonde.

No problem at all. It’s just commercial links and links to live auctions that aren’t allowed.

Im quite shocked at the price of the adaptor kits. Especially for the nespresso pod adaptors!

Anyone had pump issues with theirs? Mine wont build pressure anymore, and from the support line there is a small seal that often gets unseated, allowing blowback from the pump into the water reservoir. Quite disappointing given it was 4 days old when this happened.
Very very glad i slung the Aeropress in as well on a whim. (and i was in New England where you can get decent cortados)

After deciding I couldn't risk the Bellman not working on my cooktop I decided to go with one of these and go back to using a french press to froth milk when I want a milky drink.
This is after about 4-5 days playing with various settings.
Both shots tasted pretty good. The cold brew was not quite as nice as the 'nitro shot' cold brews that are sold in my area. But not too bad.
The beans were roasted about a week ago.
I took out the spring from inside the portafilter to unpressurise it.

Espresso Shot with Sunbeam EM0480 grinder. Setting 11. Tamped very hard. Unpressurised portafilter
It started coming out in a solid stream at the 7th pump

Cold Brew Shot with Sunbeam EM0480 grinder. Setting 11. Not tamped as hard. Unpressurised portafilter
It started coming out in a solid stream at the 5th pump
