So, it seems to be both! It made a good 100 ml of coffee and was still able to steam 200 ml of milk. The lever gives excellent control.
Anybody have an idea the brand of this great stovetop machine?!?

Thanks.Probably not a Bellman brand, but is a device that does the same thing. I presume the plastic lever at the top regulates the release of steam. The first time you try it out make sure you have somewhere safe nearby to sit the machine if you need to take it off the stove, and ideally a pair of gloves is a good idea until you work out what it is doing.Originally posted by qworld View Posthi barry,

unfortunately it's not easy to identify as a bellman...
hope this link works!

Inox 18/10 is just the grade of stainless. Looks interesting, you can use it like a moka pot and a steamer... just not at the same time.

oh, and do you know this maker - i'm not familiar with the base stamp?
any pearls of wisdom would be great.
(i've bought it a new O-ring but haven't used it til i know what it is....)
thanks

The link does not point to anything useful.
From your description it sounds a bit like a Bellman. They are primarily for producing steam for frothing milk, but some models have an attachment that can be used for brewing coffee. Do a search for Bellman stovetop and you should find heaps of pictures that you can compare to your machine
