I accidently pulled a shot this morning without the shower screen on (major lack of sleep) :-[ It seems, nothing is happening now, no water is pumping through. Is there anything I can do, or is it cactus?
Thanks

I was doing the backflush yesterday & clean forgot to put it back on. Ive had a horror few days of lack of sleep , the 2yo has had croup
Poor little bugger.... You too Newbee....
Have you refitted the shower-screen in the mean time and if so, can you describe in as detailed a fashion as possible, what the symptoms are? This will help us to help you get things up and running again as quickly as possible.
I spose if youre really desperate though, you could drop your machine off to the vendor you bought it from to have it checked out, or maybe one of our Site Sponsors and explain your dilemma...
Wish I could offer more advice Newbee but need more info.....
Thanks Mal for getting back to me. I have refitted shower screen & tried - no luck. Ive taken off group head seal & teflon spacer & given them a good clean. The pump sounds as though its about to deliver water & then it just seizes.
Any thoughts?

My guess is that you have ground coffee in a solenoid or valve and it will require dissambly to manually clean..
Is it possible that whilst under pressure the puck has pushed up into the group head causing a blockage? - does the pump sound the same as when you backflush against a blind basket?

I think AM is right, it was a stupid sleep deprived thing to do :-/
Yep, I think AM is probably on the money as well... And dont be so hard on yourself Newbee, we all need sleep and Ive done waaaayyy sillier things than this because of too little....
Taking it to a reputable service professional is probably going to be the best way out for you though, especially with a very unhappy littlen demanding most of your time. If you know of any fellow CSers in your neighbourhood who may be able to help you out, that could be another option?
Anyway mate, all the best to you and your little one....
Sounds like coffee has been sucked back up and blocked the pipe to the group. When you turn the pump off, does any water come out of the 3 way solenoid? If no, i think it might need to be disassembled to be fixed. If yes, then you might be able to fix the blockage by sticking a pipecleaner or something through the outlet in the group to try and dislodge the blockage. At worst, you will push coffee into the boiler, so dont push to far or hard, but you should be able to flush it out anyway.
Just trying to save you a service fee, and Im not too sure if this is even a viable fix. So maybe someone could give some input before you try it.
