    Not enough information.
    1- What did you do differently?
    2 - What coffee are you using?
    3 - Is it fresh? Are you sure? What date was it roasted?
    4 - Do you have a grinder? Which one?

    No grinder? See question 2.

    5- Do you use the pressurised or unpressurised baskets?
    6- Does water run through the group if you dont put the handle in and just press the manual button?
    7- Does the pump make a noise when you press the button?
    8- Have you tried reseating the water tank?

    Ill assume you mean steam and water spout as I cant recall it doing much more.

    Welcome to Coffee Snobs geoff.

    If the machine is operating well, the problem is that the ground coffee is too fine. The grinder is an important part of your equipment. If you are using preground or a blade grinder it is difficult to get the grind right. If you use a burr grinder, grind it coarser until you get your coffee through in between 20 to 30 seconds.

    If using a double walled filter, it could get blocked. preferably use a single walled filter.

    There is plenty of advice on this site, put anything about coffee into search up the top of this page or ask any questions.

    Sunbeam EM6910 Cafe Series

    I have a cafe series EM6910 expresso machine which I have used once getting a good expresso. Recently went to use it again however this time water would not flow through the coffee grinds. Can someone advice what might have happened? all other functions of the machine are working.
