Wondering if anyone else has this weirdness. My PF locks in at about 5.30 and when I pull the shot, for the first 2 seconds the PF unlocks itself a little bit. Its only about 2 mm of rotation and doesnt bother me. Its been doing it for at least 5 months but I keep forgetting to mention it.

Re: Strange PF happenings with 6910
I would imagine it is just the collar starting to wear a little.
The collar may be getting a ramp in it, so then the pressure pushes the group handle back down the ramp a touch until it settles.
The problem with the machine is that the collar is made from cheese.
Over time it will wear further and you will need to replace it.
We are currently on our second collar.

Its one of those things I guess - preventative maintenance or wait for symptoms then treat. Im going to do mine more often I think, before I get the problems. Here I was thinking I was doing my steam descale ok, until I really hammered it after reading of your dramas. Go hard and often I reckon. ;D

Never..Originally posted by 474651514A4F465B230 link=1291892062/6#6 date=1291980034Im waiting for AM to scold us - descaling the steam side been a last resort thing and all -
If ya need to do it cause ya using poor quality water... What more can I say ;D
At least ya do it and then have a positive outcome.... Some do not realise just how hard it is to get that scale out
Have a great weekend and keep drinking SB coffee 8-)
