Modification done. I have added OPV from bigger gaggia machine mainly because it costed me 22$. It works perfectly, and my next step is adding PID controller and buying grinder. Picture from the mod in the attachment
But it has screw inside that is moving how can not be adjustable?
UPDATE:
I tried with blind basket and nothing comes out from that side of the valve nomatter of position of the screw.
I also measured output of the pump with no restricion i have 150ml in 30sec is this ok?
Im not sure, but I think that is it. It isnt anything like mine and is almost certainly not adjustable. You can fit an adjustable valve as this boiler is standard across lots of different models.
As to adding a PID, there are lots of threads on this site about it. I recently wrote up how I pidded mine for under $50. Will be happy to offer advice, but normal safety precautions should be followed, all work to be carried out by qualified/registered tradespeople etc.
Hi there i am newbie to the gaggia deluxe and i am trying to learn everything to improve my espresso. So my question is about the OVP valve:
Is the number 27 the OPV valve?
How do i adjust it, i should put blind basket and then run the pump. Over the OPV pipe i should meter how much water did came out in 1 min(is the amount of water on the ulka diagram about the water that was through the OPV?).
I also want to add PID to my gaggia does some one did this?
