Wouldnt a circa 2000 model Silvia just require a new element, not the entire Boiler? Would be a hell of a lot cheaper surely.... :-?

The new boilers come with new fittings and pipes to fit the old type.

    Pedro and Jack dont bite.
Neither does Charlie. But he has been known to bark a bit on a Friday afternoon. ;D

We can supply the mod kit for no extra charge on request.

Boiler/element replacement for an old Silvia

My Miss Silvia is a 2000 model, after all these years the element has finally gone. Ive replaced the odd thermostat and solenoid over the years so Im happy to have a go at replacing the boiler, but can someone tell me if the replacement boilers they sell now at places like Coffee Parts and Jetblack Espresso will fit in an old machine? I heard somewhere that you need some sort of mod kit to make things work with the old fittings.
Working...
