Thanks Sniff... will keep the email to sponsors in mind for when needed.

Conan... I was thinking of selling the dead gaggia for parts, but have decided to keep the machine and try to bring back to life when my workshop space increases. But if it sits around for more than 12 months the minister for home affairs will make matters difficult and it will have to go!

    Thanks again.

    Hi Jase

Send an e-mail to the sponsors with the group e-mail address - look on the left hand side at the bottom of the sponsors list.

I think the current incarnation of the Mokita is the Lelit PL041. You could search the forum for pointers - its a pretty popular machine. I think Talk Coffee sells them new in Melbourne.

    Cheers

    Sniff

What did you do with the deceased?
I would have been interested in trying to salvage the Gaggia if I hadnt just got a hold of a 2nd hand bargain.

If it hasnt found a home you could put it on the "for sale" or "pay it forward" part of this site for someone else to drill out the screws and revive it or use it for parts.

    SS Mokita (non grinder version)

    Hi all,
My Gaggia Classic went to coffee machine heaven over the weekend due to scale build up and screws so tight the machine could not be dismantled and cleaned.

However, I have come into ownership of the bargin priced SS Mokita and was looking for some feedback and comments on any quirks this machine has (in relation the extracting as I dont drink moo juice so steaming is not a issue)

Also, for future reference are there any sponsors (in Melb or surrounds) that service the Mokita.

    Thanks in advance,
    J
