Re: Machine to $1k in WA?
My bad. ;D
I should have inserted the appropriate emoticon to show i was having a lend.
As with anything, the key is to understand how coffee works and to get the basics right on a consistent level.
Have a chat to Simon at Dimattina and tell him Chris sent you. Hell look after you.
McCartan will testify to that.

Knowing Gary, I believe that may have been tongue in cheekOriginally posted by 5C464B4A584E565C5C2F0 link=1302015011/1#1 date=1302023374after learning the art of espresso extraction, which should not take long.

Welcome ht,Originally posted by 504A474654425A5050230 link=1302015011/1#1 date=1302023374My feeling for you, the Lelit Pl041 or the Rancilio Silvia, as well as the GEE will serve you well
Dimattina coffee in Osborne Park operate as agents for Talk Coffee and 9Bar and will be able to show you a GEE and some other shiny gear. They also provide service for us and I believe they are planning to become a CS sponsor.
Really Gary?Originally posted by 504A474654425A5050230 link=1302015011/1#1 date=1302023374after learning the art of espresso extraction, which should not take long.
Over a million shots in, I still learn something every week

Re: Machine to $1k in WA?
Welcome to the wonderful world of great coffee hhOriginally posted by 5A5D405C57465A5D5F5740320 link=1302015009/0#0 date=1302015009Hi Coffeesnobs
New to coffeesnobs and to oz. Want to get serious about coffee and need your help. I want to buy my first coffee machine budget $1000 can you tell me where to purchase from? And what manufacture and model do you recommend?
Any help you can give is much appreciatted.
The Sunbeam 6910 is very popular with CSers, paired with a good grinder it is a great setup.
Another option is keep an eye on the for sale post on CS some good equipment at reasonable prices often appear here!
As Gary said the Silvia/Rocky combo is a great set-up.
Good luck with your research, you have come to the right place for coffee related info

cheers

Re: Machine to $1k in WA?
Welcome to Coffeesnobs.
Good to know you enjoy good coffee.
I would say the best way is to go to the bottom of the site sponsors on your left of this pageand follow the link to contacting all the sponsors at once. That way you get the most efficient and quick way of responses.
My feeling for you, the Lelit Pl041 or the Rancilio Silvia, as well as the GEE will serve you well after learning the art of espresso extraction, which should not take long.
Don;t forget to budget in the grinder too. The grinder together with fresh beans is more important than the machine.
Andy has some great brown beans in the roasted coffee tab on top left of this page.
You can also look for local roasters who can sell you freshly roasted beans.
