Re: Advice on Nemox Caffe DellOpera
Forgot to add, not sure if you have experience with single boiler machines, but its critical to refill the boiler after steaming to avoid potentially burning out the element.

Re: Advice on Nemox Caffe DellOpera
No worries, yell out if you need anything else, will try and help if I can.
There are also a few options for making the steam tip "normal", I did this:
http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1274440245
with quite good success.
There is also some good info in this thread about the steam tip, with a neat solution in this post:
http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1151416945/19#19
I will try to fit the steam arm/tip from a silvia into the ball of the Nemox steam valve. I will write it up if I succeed!!
Cheers

Re: Advice on Nemox Caffe DellOpera
Wow, you got ripped off there, I would go back and demand a refund!! ;D
I have one of these and have had it for a few years, with excellent service out of it, they are a great machine.
The only real issue is a leaky steam tap after a while. I fixed mine (temporarily) by filing back a bit of the steam valve shaft, as shown in tips and tricks here: http://www.coffeeco.com.au/articles/repair.html
There are also a heap of useful articles on that site for the Nemox, showing how you can strip it and clean it etc.
The other solution for leaky steam valve by a CSer is here, which looks like a good one: http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1311237977/0
Its also easy to take off the collar which will give you easy access to the group head and gasket, which you can remove and can give the area a good clean.

Advice on Nemox Caffe DellOpera
Hi all,
Ive recently become the owner of a second-hand Nemox Caffe DellOpera machine. I picked it up for the princely sum of $0 due to the previous owner having no use for it these days and being adamant he didnt want any money for it. The machine appears to be in good condition and knowing the previous owner, I have no concerns about it being poorly treated and/or maintained.
Ive never owned a Nemox before and was wondering if anyone could share their experiences with this machine and let me know if there are any common problems/issues of which I should be aware?
Cheers,
