Re: EM6900 Portafilter on EM6910
That sucks. I really want to try to make it work. After looking closely I cant really see a difference between the two handles, and the 6910 fits nicely in the 6900. I think the 6900 handle just has a slightly wider rim. Perhaps sanding it down a little on the outer edge will make it fit.
Otherwise if anyone has a 6910 handle they want to sell, I am interested, I really want to make a naked portafilter.
Thanks

Re: EM6900 Portafilter on EM6910
Well I never got it to fit so I gave it back to the guy I bought it from.
The lady from sunbeam I spoke to confirmed that it wouldnt fit. Then she decided shed send me out a spare (used) 6910 group handle they had laying around. 8-)

I cant seem to get it up into the collar enough to twist around to the locked position.

Re: EM6900 Portafilter on EM6910
I thought they were interchangeable.
When I had an EM6910, I cut the bottom of a 6900 handle to make into a naked handle.

I found that the 6900 handle was happy sitting on the between 6 & 7oclock whilst the original 6910 handle was happier at the 6 oclock mark.
Whats your definition of doesnt fit? eg is it too tight, is it too loose etc

EM6900 Portafilter on EM6910
Hi,
Ive recently picked up a portafilter from an EM6900 intending to use it on my EM6910 but I can not get it to fit.
I thought they were compatible. Can someone confirm either way?
Can I modify the lugs to make it fit?
