I thought that you just took the tablet and then pulled a shot and had a nice nap?? :P ;D
    ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Im not sure the nap would be all that long - or that nice

But would probably remove any ulcers (or create a few) in your stomach on the way through

Yuk, it would be a tablet that Id run away from :

On the issue of putting the tablet in the PF, have read that all I have to do is put masking tape over the hole so it backflushes...is that the case, or does Sunbeam sell a blank cap to put in there?

Sorry for the dumb questions, but so far all interest has been on brewing and drinking the coffee, not cleaning out the machine.

There is a blind disk located on the back door of the machine. Pop that in the double basket and away you go. There is a pin there too to shove in to the steaming wand tip.

            smoky,

dont think Id use masking tape- that stuff leaves some nasty residues.

I though blanking plates were supplied with the Sunbeam- if not they probably sell them - as do CoffeeParts:

            http://www.coffeeparts.com/accessories/blindfilters.html

theres will set you back $3.50 + GST

:-? Well, imagine that, who would have looked there.....suppose those who had read that far in their book :

No pin for the stem wand though, will ask the agent when I visit them tomorrow for a few of those tablets.

Many thanks for the info fellow coffee adicts ;D

I myself have never used the supplied rubber disk with the EM6910. I have always used a metal blind disk. But when it comes time to run a tablet through the machine, I will have no choice but to use the blind disk and the double basket...depending on how big the tablet is. Ive never seen or used the tablets before.

MMmm Smoky (and all the other owners of Sunbeam or any other machine)....

When you get a new toy - Read the manual!!! : : :(There is a far less polite version - which is more to the point!!)

Im sure Sunbeam (like every other manufacturer) have spent a lot of time and money on technical writers to produce a manual so you will use the new toy properly....

There are frequently warnings - some to protect the device from injury - others to protect the owner from the same fate.... and they normally emblazon everywhere "Read the manual before using the appliance"...

This isnt done for fun, or because they had extra ink to waste when they made the box etc.... they ACTUALLY want you to read the manual......

I wonder how many faults with the Sunbeam have been caused by people who think they dont need to, havent got time to - or just plain cant be bothered to!!!!!

You never know - if you took time to read the manual - you might even make better coffee - you would certainly make coffee for longer as you would know you have to descale and backflush - how often and with what.... Dont bother and your new toy will be in for repair (a gummed up three way valve will stop all coffee production.- and it wont be Sunbeams fault)!!!!

The pin should be attached to the blind disk...which you off before using it

You are suggesting that people read the manual, correct?
