Re: Best price for Sunbeam EM6910
Make sure you are using fresh beans (a week or so old post roasting) with the single floor basket, otherwise it will be difficult (impossible?) to get a decent shot. Bean freshness makes a huge difference.
There is heaps of info on this forum (do a search) on this machine and how to get the most out of it, including tweaking of settings etc.
Have fun!!

Now lets see what this machine can do!
Everything looks good with the machine, just need a bit more practice I think. Buying another 250g today for some more testing, but think Ive almost found the right grind setting on my em4080.

Re: Best price for Sunbeam EM6910
I just bought a 9610 at HN in Victoria for $645. I was told to beware of the online discounters as the warranty does not transfer from them to whomever buy a machine from them - dont know how true this is though. I also got a 0480 grinder for $149 (but I think they actually meant to give me the 0450 and it wasnt until I got it home and had used it that I realised). HN also let me have it on 12 months interest free.

Re: Best price for Sunbeam EM6910
Dont know - more of a friend of a friend than a mate I suppose so I couldnt take his word.
If the buy price is in fact $640 then all the places QuirkyKiwi was dealing with were competing for a sale that would lose them over $100. Why would they want that sale?

Re: Best price for Sunbeam EM6910
If you find one at $110 below JMs cost price dont forget to post here.
So you think your mate was lying to you?Originally posted by 070017131C450 link=1180249840/89#89 date=1243756832I have a mate who works at a JM store so I went in to take a look at a 6910. He called it up on the computer and showed my that their buy price was $640ish. Makes me wonder if they have a buy price that they show the customer that is higher that the "real" buy price - wouldnt surprise me.

Re: Best price for Sunbeam EM6910
I got mine from Bing Lee for $700 including an extra four years warranty - five years in total.
Hardly Normal had a "special" - $700 with two years extra warranty, or $640 with one year.
I reckon I did alright
