Hate utube with a passion, but here goes.

Here is the first Naked shot on my EM6910. Quality is not great, as hand held 6year old camera, used.

Pour time was 32sec with a special PF and Filter made up by Greg Pullman http://www.coffeetamper.com.au/

Small leak appeared at the start but self sealed after a few moments. Puk looked good and no real channelling identified, leak was due to me over dosing and not being as clean as I should have been.

Now all I need is the Tamp to complete my set up.

Feel free to comment, however any feedback on picture quality or Tamping, will require the reviewer to provide suitable replacements :-)

I will try to better next time, however my wife thinks I am mad.

Ok, did the deed and have a 32sec Avi taken by my daughter.. on a 6 year old digital camera... Approx 5meg in size.

So what is the best method to link so that people can see?

Interesting.... 50% chance of a reasonable shot, the rest... dont talk to me

Bad part is that with out the NAKED I would have thought they were all OK.

I will say that the extra large PF basket is also a big plus... Will try to get a camera and some lighting ready to go this weekend.

    Hi all..

Finally managed to put the goodies to the test. Had my first go with the Gregs tamper and the bottomless pf.

The tamper is fantastic. Heavy and a perfect fit.

PF is good, but exposing all my flaws.

Microfoam or latte art is too hideous at this point for posting.

Still a long long way to go. An interesting one i hope!

Ive found the Pullman tamper a major help, plus since obtaining the Super Jolly, Ive got more consistant extractions.

    This is my dosing tech..

Grind all that you need, then dose, tap on grinder fork, dose, tap again, dose, slight compress with fingers and level, 15kg Tamp ONCE and polish (no pressure). I nail the extraction almost every time with this procedure.

When using the Sunbean grinder, I follow the same procedure however more intermediate taps to settle the grinds.

If you Tamp twice, youll get channelling without a doubt. Even if your using a quality tamper. I used to do a intermediate soft tamp between dosing but no more.

Will try to get Wife to do teh deed, but knowing my luck I will mess it up under pressure ;D
Wife has been sick... But have to admit... Naked is BAD real BAD...

Every time I now have to squat down and watch the pour... Then of course I inspect the puck.... So much more critical now....

I tap twice, dose, tamp, up dose ad then final tamp.. With teh grind I am using, only a light tamp.... A heavy tamp 15 - 20 or higher and a full choke...

    anger,

Sunbeam says to tamp with 30kilos...that is insanely too much

    ease off the tamp..

They also tell you to tap the PF...

tap it only once and tap it after a light tamp not the proper tamp...it aggitates the puck from the sides of the basket.

    hope it helps

Hi! Is the offer still on for the portafilter and tamper combo? hope its not too late :-?
Yep buzz, its still on. The first ones sold and I expect the main shipment will be available sometime after May 11. Will update the For Sale area at that time.

Techo: The photo on page 2, scroll down and you can see the photo with a Synesso double basket. Dont have any Sunbeam baskets to put in there but theyre similar enough to give a good idea.

NPF Arrived today and had my first shot...

What can I say :-) Interesting with the new basket as well. Bit extra coffee, usual tamp and 3:00pm on teh dial. Noticed a clearly defined pour from the front. Yep, in the puck you could see the channelling.

Usually I would not have check so closely, prior to dumping the puck.

Gues the next step it a real TAMP :-)

    Great job.
