I had a rubber disc that covered the bottom of the pf for backflushing Silvia, it worked a treat. You could cut one out to fit in your single basket!!

I would strongly recommend spending the 6 or 7 dollars and just buying a blind filter if possible
    Probally the best idea.

My only apprehension is that Perth has a major lack of site sponsors and the shipping will probally cost more than the basket which kinda defies logic.

food grade solder seems harder to get hold of than a blind basket. Super glue?

Ps. Im just a bit curious and Ill most likely buy a blind basket

    NO...

Just grab some cling wrap and put the group handle Basket in it and then wrap it up...   Put into group an away you go...

Or even use al foil.... It food grade, with stands heat  and you can go to town getting it all nicely moulded... One or two layers...

Or you could cut out some plastic (food grade) and squeeze into the group handle basket.. Presto... Instant blind filter..

    Why make it hard...

OR get a 58mm pressurised SB filter and then you only have to block ONE little hole..  Matchstick Food grade - so make it a tooth pick - Single use)..

I am sure there should be any number of SB users with these non usable baskets lying around...

I think the solution offered some time ago may have been food grade solder, BUT.... I would strongly recommend spending the 6 or 7 dollars and just buying a blind filter if possible.

    Silvia single basket

I never use my silvia single basket and was considering blocking up the holes and using it as a blind basket. I recall reading a post here about this but I searched and searched and cant find it.

Is there any reason why this would be a bad choice?

Also, Can anyone suggest a good way to block the holes? So far plastic electrical tape is useless.
Working...
