Re: EM6910 Power Light Flashing Red

Well,I rang sunbeam and described the problem. It was something the call centre guy had never heard of, he put me on hold for less than a minute to check with a tech and the best guess answer is a fault in a pcb. Sugested that  if the machine still functions OK and due to the fact that it is out of warranty I just continue to use it as normal.

You could be lucky - maybe the fault wont develop any further.

Heres hoping its only an annoyance and the machine continues to work for you 8-)

Na only half a one at the moment.. The others bits have been sent off to others in need..

Problem, is that many come.. get assistance / parts and then ya never hear from them again..

I admire your dedication to helping others despite that fact that many are takers and not givers.

Thanks... I dont think they intend to be, but life and priorities are such that once a problem is sorted... Many move on to other things...

Those with a true passion / desire to understand more... Tend to hang around and or re visit and it is great when you see them offer assistance...

                      Such is society..

Lets see what happens with SJNs situation... My concern would be with a fault that could lead to a fire or dangerous situation..

I Would not leave on for extended periods of time... Would have on when using and then turn it off at teh wall.

Good advice indeed. You wouldnt want to leave it unattended.

Id still be calling a few service agents to get their view in case ACog is right. Just seems a bit wierd to be flashing a certain signal.

Do many leave them "on", and let them go to sleep mode?

not sure i would leave any SB, or small machine "on", imo the heat build up would have to be detrimental to the lifespan of it.

the 6910 seems to warm up so fast, why bother leaving it on?
then after a bit of a heating flush, its ready to go?

I switch mine off after each session. As you say

Besides - it saves on the power bill

I only ever leave it on long enough to warm up (about 20 mins) pour my shots clean up and the turn it off.
I wonder if it could be related to my post back in January about the machine being hotter than I like it to be.

Just in case I decide to give the Sunbeam the flick I have been looking at the alternatives. Came across this Isomac Zaffiro & Isomac Granmacinino Combo from site sponsors Di Bartoli.

                                http://www.dibartoli.com.au/product_details.asp?pid=175

Interested in your thoughts about the Isomac Zaffiro
