Re: Very happy with Sunbeam EM6910 / EM0480 Combo!
My 6910 / 0480 combo is coming up 2 years old soon and (touch wood) still going strong. One weird thing is that the frst group head seal lasted around 14 months, I am now onto my 4th, Im not sure why, Im dosing less coffee into the basket and not turning the handle as far round as I used to, its weird.
In regards to which filter to use, "generally" you will get better shots from the double filter rather than the single, the single is pickier in terms of dosing / distributing / tamping than the double so many users opt to just use the double shot filter.
For spouts, it really doesnt matter, so long as you can direct both spouts into 1 vessel.
I also use the double shot button and press again to stop it if required. I did use the manual button at one stage, until I was distracted and ran a 100ml or so shot (thrown out), so prefer the safety / backup of the preprogrammed buttons.
We dont get offered the Sunbeam course on the other side of the ditch, but from what I have read on here, people seem to get quite a bit out of it.
Look after the machine and hopefully it will serve you well for years to come
