My best guess is that the timer chip might be starting to misbehave.
    Sounds reasonable TG.

    Thanks for that
There is a flow meter and a Timer as the two go hand in hand..

Also depending on what you were doing, I have seen it where it fails to detect teh Brew switch as the interrupt (still attempts to run a shot) and goes into standby mode ;D ;D

TG is also correct and volume and time is also monitored for teh Steam. Thus depending on exactly what you were doing and what state teh unit was in; it is possible for users to get it all tricked up

Treat this as a once off; record a technical note and a reminder to be more detailed with the status prior to teh error.

Thus if it happens again; You will be in a position to do a better investigation, in an attempt to discover teh root cause.

If it turns out to be YOU; then ya know what your going to have to do ;D :

From page 22 of the Instruction Book:

Note: As a safety mechanism the espresso
machine is programmed to automatically stop
the water flow after 240mls, therefore you
will need to press the ‘MANUAL’ button again
    to restart the water flow.

I reckon the 240ml is actually calculated and the function actually works on a timer.

My best guess is that the timer chip might be starting to misbehave.

started a topic EM6910 Clicked off while Brewing

    EM6910 Clicked off while Brewing

I was pulling a shot when I heard a click and the brew stopped. All the lights were still on so I hit the brew switch and it started brewing again. Tasted awful of course

Anyone struck this before? I hope its not symptomatic of trouble brewing - pardon the weak pun

AM - any input from your vast experience with the EM6910 would be greatly appreciated.
Working...
