  • Baby BES900 in the works? BES840

Tweeted by Breville Australia last week:

"The new #BES840 is looking good as 1st production nears. Low pressure pre-infusion at mid price price points plus more."

hm, I wonder - single boiler or PID thermoblock? interesting...

Interesting, Very Interesting, Possibly a similar machine to the EM6910 in build perhaps?

Maybe a BES820 with PID controlling the thermoblock? (actually, that may not be such a silly idea)

What fun speculation can be! ;D

I reckon with low pressure per-infusion, it would have to be a boiler, cause lower pressure through a thermoblock will heat the initial low-pressure water up too high (I think...)
Pretty exciting though - couldnt find anything on google yet.

Return of the IKON perhaps? with some of the internals from the BDB?

Could be any number of things

            unless it has a PID...

Lets hope we dont have to go through the slow information leak process we did for the 900 - give me nothing or everything

I was told earlier this year by Breville that they still had all the gear to bring the Ikon back, but just werent inclined to at that point in time. Maybe things have changed or maybe its entirely new - who knows.

One things for sure, if history repeats itself, a few weeks after its launched youll probably be able to get it for half RRP or free with every Smart Grinder. ;D

That really does look like a baby dual boiler. Doesnt say whether its got a boiler or thermoblock though. I might hold off my purchase of a DB to see what this is like.

Buy a 900 when you see one in store as they are continually on back order with us! The BES840 is NOT a boiler..... its a PID controlled thermo-coil.

                      Cheers, Phil

If youd said "thermo-coil" then maybe
