    An update for your all!

WHAT AN AMAZING DIFFERENCE HAVING A GOOD GRINDER MAKES!

I picked up a second hand Rocky from one of the sponsors and this morning i made a cappuccino and it was AMAZING. The puck popped right out of the group handle when i gave it a little tap - no mega soppyness/only half popping out.

I put two sugars in before i tasted it and nearly died from the sweetness lol.

    SO HAPPY

Oh and i must've got my dosing and tamping right because i did have a dent from the shower head which seemed normal, but no channeling or anything.

hi drovers, i'm only a learner myself and have the same machine as you (em6910) but i have the sunbeam grinder (em0480). do NOT downgrade to this grinder. i'm actually on the hunt for a smart grinder myself when i find one within my budget. the sunbeam grinder has too big a gap between each increment i've found, and other family members who have trodden the same path as what i am now, say the same thing. one notch will be too fine, the next too coarse. you can work around it but its an entry level grinder for a reason i think.

Terrific effort! It sounds like you've also improved your dosing. The pucks should pop right out in one piece like you mentioned. You were probably under dosing a few months back with the old grinder; if you still have access to it, you should do a side by side comparison.

You'll get better each day - and try experimenting with different grind size/doses until you find something that works for you.
